TrendIntel ("we", "us", "our") operates the TrendIntel platform at https://trendintel.io. We provide signal intelligence and trend analysis services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

2. Information we collect

• Account data — name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
• Billing data — payment is processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID; we never see or store your full card number.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and AI chat messages (to provide the service and improve it).
• Watchlist & preferences — keywords and entities you choose to track.
• Log data — IP address, browser type, and timestamps, collected automatically by our servers.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the TrendIntel service.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send transactional emails — account verification, password resets, and watchlist alerts you have configured.
• To monitor for abuse and protect platform security.
• To improve our models, scoring algorithms, and product experience.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use no third-party analytics scripts by default.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see section 7). Signals and trend data are aggregated and anonymised — they are not linked to individual users.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. All traffic is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

7. Your rights

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
